A relaxed maternity session is the perfect way to celebrate this season before everything changes. Whether we meet at one of my favourite sunset locations or in the comfort of your own home, we'll create timeless images that capture your growing family naturally.

A season you'll never get back
Pregnancy has a way of feeling both incredibly long and unbelievably short. Before you know it, your baby is here and this chapter becomes a memory. Maternity sessions are about slowing down for a moment and celebrating everything your body is doing. They don't need to feel overly posed or glamorous. My approach is relaxed, natural and focused on capturing genuine connection, whether it's your first baby or your fourth.
Partners, children and even your furry family members are always welcome to be part of your session.
Why book maternity photos?
Pregnancy is often one of the most photographed yet least remembered seasons of life.
Between appointments, preparing the nursery and getting ready for your baby's arrival, it's easy to forget to slow down and document this chapter.
These photographs become part of your family's story. They're something you'll look back on years from now and one day share with the little person you were waiting so patiently to meet.

When is the best time for maternity photos?
he ideal time for your maternity session is between 30 and 36 weeks.
By this stage your bump is beautifully round, but you're usually still comfortable enough to enjoy your session. If you're expecting twins or have a higher-risk pregnancy, I may recommend photographing a little earlier. I always suggest booking while you're in your second trimester, as sunset sessions are limited each month.

Choosing the perfect location
Most maternity sessions take place outdoors during golden hour, when the light is soft and flattering.
I have several favourite locations across Rockingham and surrounding areas, including beaches, bushland and the beautiful local salt lakes. If you'd prefer something a little more personal, an in-home maternity session is also a beautiful option.
Not sure where to go? I'll help choose the perfect location based on the season, the weather and the look you're after.

What should I wear?
The most important thing is choosing something that feels like you. Soft, neutral colours and natural fabrics such as linen, cotton and knits photograph beautifully and allow the focus to stay on you and your growing family.
I also offer a carefully curated client wardrobe with a selection of dresses available to borrow for your session. If you'd like to use one, simply let me know beforehand and I'll bring it along.
Need a little inspiration? I'm always happy to help with outfit planning for the whole family.
What happens during my session?
Don't worry if you've never had professional photos taken before. I'll gently guide you throughout the session while leaving plenty of room for natural interaction.
There's no pressure to smile at the camera the whole time. Some of the most beautiful images come from simply walking together, chatting, cuddling or taking a quiet moment to soak it all in. The goal is for your gallery to feel genuine and timeless, rather than overly posed.

Planning newborn photos too?
Many families choose to book both their maternity and newborn sessions together. It's a beautiful way to document the beginning of your family's story, from the excitement of pregnancy through to those precious first weeks with your baby.
If you're considering both sessions, ask me about my maternity and newborn bundle.
